Non-legal Compensation and Benefit Survey
The Indiana Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators conducts an annual survey of the compensation and benefits provided to non-lawyer employees. We query almost 300 law firms in ninety-two counties to gather statistics regarding the salary paid and the benefits provided, such as paid time off, work hours, and insurance coverage. Results are separately reported for the Indianapolis area, cities with populations above and below 50,000, number of lawyers in the firm, and years of experience.
Each year, the survey reports the twelve-month period ending June 30. Entitled the "Legal Support Compensation & Benefit Survey," responses are compiled by an independent accounting firm, and the survey is available to the general public each fall for $100.00 (participating firms pay $75.00).
